Tango Presents:
Visiting Teacher/Musician Ben Bogart
October 20th thru 26th, 2009

Bio: Ben Bogart is a bandoneonista, a dancer, and a tango music fanatic. He holds a degree from the Berklee College of Music, and was co-director and tango dance teacher at the dance studio Providence Tango from 2004-2007. In March 2007 he sold all his possessions and moved to Buenos Aires to do pursue playing bandoneon full time.
Since that time he has studied with Carlos Lázzari (D'Arienzo lead bandoneon), Nestor Marconi (Salgan, Basso), and Rodolfo Mederos (Pugliese). He has completed the program at the famous Orquesta Escuela de Tango de Emilio Balcarce portrayed in the film Si Sos Brujo as a bandoneonista.
He has shared the stage with Leopoldo Federico (Di Sarli), Nestor Marconi, Mauricio Marcelli (Pugliese), Juan José Mosalini (Pugliese), Raúl Garello (Troilo), Víctor Lavallén (Caló, Pugliese), founder of Color Tango) Hugo Marcel (Caló, Fresedo), Virginia Luque, among others.
